Intro:
This is the first RFID immobiliser to be released from the new ATRD KENSAI range. It has the same security features as the biometric system, but instead of a fingerprint scanner it utilizes RF-ID technology.
The systems consist of three main parts: a controller, immobiliser module and a digital encoded tag, which the owner of the vehicle would keep in their pocket,wallet etc ( separate from their keys). Before you start the vehicle the immobiliser will search for the tag. If the correct tag is found the vehicle will start as normal.
If no tag is found within several meters, the system automatically goes into guarding mode and the vehicle remains immobilised.
Different modules are available for the RD-ID K1 making it compatible with any vehicle and alarm system including; vehicles equipped with remote engine start.
How it works ::
Step1 =
The vehicle automatically immobilises after the vehicle is switched off.
Step2 =
To disarm the immobiliser, turn the key to the ACC position. The system then begins search procedure for the tag and identification : this is indicated by the valet switch LED illuminating within the vehicle.
Step3 =
On positive tag identification the system will deliver melodious buzzer signal, and the LED will change color to green.
The immobiliser is deactivated and the vehicle is ready to start.
If within 20 seconds the system unit will not receive reply from tag, warning sound of the buzzer will be emitted, indicator color will change to red and the system will go into mode "Guarding". Then controller will cyclically search for tag, accompanying the process with blinking of LED from red to green, until the tag is detected and identified the vehicle will remain immobilised.
